Designed for first-time players who have graduated from the LEARN TO Skate program (baseline skating skills necessary)

Golden Glide Hockey's NOVICE Hockey Skills program is Step #3 in the Hockey Player Development Pathway. Designed for LEARN TO Play graduates and guided by experienced coaches, NOVICE Hockey emphasizes personal development, teamwork, and a love for the sport; the ideal next step a player's hockey development journey. NOVICE Hockey Skills builds on fundamentals such as puck handling, shooting, passing, and game awareness in a supportive, inclusive environment. Players ready for NOVICE Hockey skills can concurrently enroll in Golden Glide Hockey's ROOKIE LEAGUE and/or POWER SKATING classes.

Co-ed, ages 6 to 10

50 Minute Classes

Players must have full hockey equipment, including a CSA approved helmet with cage, neck guard and hockey stick

Designed for players who have graduated from the LEARN TO Play program

Players can enroll Concurrently in: rOOKIE LEAGUE, POWER SKATING

LEVEL 1 - FUNDAMENTALS

Focus: Skill development
Key Skills: Skating, passing, puck control
Outcome: Strong foundation in essential hockey skills

LEVEL 2 - GAME PLAY

Focus: Applying skills in game situations
Key Skills: Positioning, Shooting, Decision making
Outcome: Players become game-ready and capable of contributing in team environments
